Anticheat : required (0 modified files)
Team size : Minimum 5v5
Timelimit : 30 mins
Upgrades : ON
DLL : GrimGloom
Server : Quake.de MATCH server
IRC : #gloom-tourney (on QuakeNet server)

OK a quick breakdown of the rules so nobody can say 'I thought we could do x,y'
All players must use Anticheat.dll (and of course a compatible client e.g. r1q2) Anyone who shows up on aclist as having modified files or no anticheat installed will be informed of the problem and then kicked from the server. The player can rejoin and begin playing if he/she comes back with the problem rectified.
The teams must have a minimum of 5 players, clans can play up to 8v8 if they both have the players available. If a clan turns up a man short, the game can go ahead if the other team is happy to play 5v4 (the plan is not to drop to 4v4 because it will just become a standard of 4v4 every week which I would like to avoid)
In the case of anticheat rule kicks or player connection loss, the game will start as sheduled and the team who lost a player must play with one less until they return. In extreme cases the admin can pause the server for a maximum or 10 minutes per fixture (extreme case is losing 2 or 3 players at the same time)
Timelimit will be 30 minues with no sudden death.
Upgrades are ON.
All fixtures are to be played on quake.de match server (217.115.155.120:27920)
All players are expected to be in IRC so that the fixtures can be executed as cleanly as possible. #Gloom-Tourney on QuakeNet.
Scoring System:
3 points for a win
2 points for a tie
1 point for a loss (just to say thanks for turning up)
-2 points for a default loss (we really dont want any no shows)

Defaulting.
The game will be considered a default loss if:
The clan rep has not contacted an admin, and no players have arrived to play 5 minutes after scheduled match time.
If a clan has 3 or less players 5 minutes after match time (the team can arrange a reschedule with the other clan within 7 days, but the clan who did show up for the fixture is under no obligation to accept the reschedule and can claim the points)
If both teams have 3 or less players 5 minutes after the match start time they can reschedule the fixture within 7 days, or both teams lose 2 points.

Are the rules negotiable? (spelling)

the time limit (30 mins) sounds kinda short to me dont know about everyone else, would 45 mins be better?

yeah of course everything is negotiable m8,

but i think the weak defenses in this dll mean the games could end at any moment with a sudden rush, also 2 hours of glooming is enough fun because there will be a different opponent every week and hopefully a nice side effect would be a very high population on the public server on matchdays so plenty of warmup and then fun games after the clan fixture.

Also some clans will be evenly balanced and I'm sure people would rather breed like an madman for 30mins than 45+ for the same result.

Also there would be no way the fixtures could run in one day with a longer timelimit.

If peeps think it would be better playing a longer timelimit and making the fixtures for sat and sun then I dont mind. It just seems sunday is a good day for most people and I think if the fixtures are set people will come (shit that sounds like something from that crap costner film) hopefully anyway Wink

Another solution would be a second match server, or making the public a match server for a few hours every week, but I have no clue if thats possible.
